:-B Tony, some ppl have mentioned that your track Looking Through My Window, the one you gave us for free as an MP3, is sad.
I don't find it sad at all. Certainly thoughtful - but it makes me think of some long ago time, with distant cheerful/emotional memories.
You certainly can make magic Tony!

Hi Tony,
I've been listening to "Looking Through My Window" for a few days now, and to me it's a very sad tune. It's like somebody has suffered a tragedy and is in a very sombre mood. I'm sure that the cello is making me feel that way and I can imagine the cello player having tears rolling down her cheeks as she is playing, it's not the sort of tune that I could listen to very often (unlike most of your other tunes which I can put on repeat mode and play continuously). The piano is quite OK, but maybe another backing track might be needed, maybe a viola or guitar accompaniment might do, something a little brighter.

Dear Tony,
Your music was introduced to me by a friend in 1997. "Mariner", was the first and it helped me through some very trying times.Thank You!
I am now listening to "Memento", and memories of times gone by have filtered into my thoughts again. Some good and some sad. Your music is heavenly and God has trusted you with His most precious gift. You are one of His angels giving comfort to tortured souls. I will be listening to "Private Collection" and "Seashore Sunrise" next. I love to write and maybe someday you could put my words to music. Thanks again for giving me inspiration and with your music. God Bless You.
E.G

Dear Tony,
I'm listening to 'Looking Through My Window' as I type. I've experienced more than one emotion; melancholy was how I felt at first but then some of the lighter piano notes were almost like a child trying to cheer me up and here at the end it is gently, sweetly peaceful. Thank you for sharing your process with us.
Love & blessings

Absolutely beautiful. There's no need to add anything, let these two instruments speak for themselves. It is a sweet combination bit of sadness, peace and still it is very comforting.. like a cradle. Thanks Tony!

Hi Tony,

I just down loaded your free sample track "Looking Through My Window" and gave it a listen. I like it. I’m not sure how to describe my thoughts or feelings as I listen. I guess I would say introspective, very introspective, leaning towards lonely. Not in bad way, maybe pensive would be a better description, or maybe what you might call a melancholy thoughtfulness. I will have to listen to it few more times and try to capture my thoughts and/or feelings. A beautiful piece.

As to additional instruments, I thought oboe and/or viola. However, it is beautiful as it stands now, very thought provoking and relaxing.

Hi Tony The track "Looking Through My Window " is simply stunning, and somewhat reminiscent of the tracks on "Lovesong" one of my all time favorites Thanks for this one

Hi Tony

Good to hear from you!
Thanks for including me in your preview of the new song "Looking Through my WIndow".

I think the song is wonderfully "Tony O'Connor" in being in your hallmark style, which for me is a winner.
I think it is great when you can hear the unique style of a great composer.
I use the term "style" here in terms of your melody, harmony and phrasing approach.
Definitely a winner. I doubt that you would want to do anymore to the song. Perhaps some soft strings in the second refrain to highlight the wonderful fragile melody would further highlight the emotive nature of the piece...
Congrats of some lovely piano playing (very tasty arpeggios & RH work) and what a great cello sound and beaut counterpoint melody.

This is definitive TOC. Thumbs up; 10 out of 10!

Cheers

Michael
